Detective Jarrod Granger is a homicide detective with the Anchorage Police Department, investigating a slew of murders in the city. The killer is stabbing his victims 19 times each, and cutting out their tongues, and he has already struck three times. Detective Granger's own past may get in the way of his present and future, but he and his partner, Detective Misty Lawrence, must trudge through their tumultuous work relationship to track down the killer who has been dubbed The Tongue Snatcher.

Stacey Alexander is a guarded 26 year old unnatural redhead, who is unshakably loyal to her father Vincent. She works day in and day out to take care of Vincent since he has been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer, and she would do anything to keep him safe, even when she meets a detective who is quickly falling for her. But, Stacey and Vincent have a dark secret; one that bonds them together more than any "normal" family. And soon, Stacey will have to choose between protecting the father that she loves, or accepting the love of the detective who is zeroing in on a familiar target.

Interview:

Today, we welcome W.S. Greer to Musings and Ramblings. Let's all give him a big Geeky welcome!

I have some questions for you that are writer specific as well as some fun stuff so that we can really get to know the real you. *grin* Plus we will finish things off with round of Think Fast. Ready to begin?

Writing Specific
1. Tell us something about yourself that's not in your bio.
Something people don’t know about me is that I am really into music. I actually earned a scholarship for singing coming out of high school. Nobody would ever guess it, but I am actually a really good singer.
2. What do you like to do when you are not writing?
When I’m not writing, I love to hit the gym. I have done a couple of amateur bodybuilding competitions and would like to again, so I stay in the gym.
3. How did you choose the genres you write in?
I chose to write based on what I like to read. I love a good, thought-provoking, page-turning mystery, so I wrote Frozen Secrets. I love suspense. My next book is in the erotic genre, but of course I had to add suspense to it or it wouldn’t be me.
4. Is there any particular author or book that has influenced you or your writing?
I am a big fan of Harlan Coben and Gillian Flynn, but I couldn’t honestly say that I have been influenced by any one author in particular. I love them all.
5. What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been the best compliment?
That is a tough one. Well, I am still pretty new in this game so I haven’t really had a lot of criticism or compliments. But, I would have to say the negative reviews of my debut book. Every book has negative reviews, but it’s pretty tough when some of them don’t make sense. And every compliment I get is a good one. I have had a tremendous amount of support since I started writing and I love and appreciate every single one of my fans. I can’t thank them enough.
Fun Stuff
6. If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, fictional or real, who would it be and why?
Wow! That is a lot of people to choose from. Umm, I would have to say Martin Luther King Jr. He was so powerful with his words and his ability to bring people together was so compelling. That would be awesome!
7. You are going to be stranded on a deserted island and bring 3 luxury items. What would they be?
My laptop, my cell phone, and something to give me an internet connection
8. Pick two celebrities to be your parents. Who are they and why?
Michael Jordan and Hillary Clinton. It’d be great to have Michael’s competitive drive, and Hillary’s ability to go against the grain and stand up for what you believe in and what you know is right, regardless of popularity. Oh, and Michael Jordan is rich, so that helps a lot.
9. What would we find in your refrigerator right now?
A whole lot of Red Bull (I can’t write without it). Everything else is pretty standard.
10. If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
Working too hard to earn so little

Think Fast
Summer or Winter? Winter
Coffee or Tea? Coffee
Cake or Pie? Cake
Car or Truck? None of the above. I like SUVs
Print or Electronic? Electronic

Thanks for coming by and spending some time with us. Any final words of wisdom to pass along?
I just want to say “thank you” to each and every person who has bought and read Frozen Secrets, whether you liked the book or not. Being an indie author certainly doesn’t earn you a lot of money, but it’s the fact that you are able to get your book out there for people to read that is important. I’m not looking to get rich, I just want to share my stories with the world, and appreciate every person who has been supportive of that dream. Thank you all so much and I hope I can continue to provide you with awesome books to read in the future.

Author Bio:

I am a new, independent author currently living in Anchorage Alaska, as an active member of the United States Air Force. I have been in the Air Force for 9 years and have been writing since 1995, when I was in the 5th grade. My whole life, I always wrote poetry and music, and it wasn’t until I started reading books in June 2012 that I had aspirations of becoming a novelist.

My Wife of the last 10 years, Roxanne, is also an aspiring author, writing her first novel, and it was by her influence that I began reading and falling in love with characters and books. I have her to thanks for all of my success, both as an Airman, and as an Author.

My 2 beautiful children, Janae (8), and Justin (6), both are very supportive of both my military career and my 2nd job as an author and I love them both so very much. And I look forward to taking my entire family along on this amazing journey that I know is waiting for us in the near future.

I want to give a special thanks to all of my family and fans that have shown so much support!! You guys mean the world to me and I appreciate all of the love and support more than I could ever explain!!
