Two werewolves, a Scottish castle and the power of fate.

Highly ranked in her werewolf pack in spite of being female, American Mattie Sloane travels to Scotland with her Alpha, never suspecting the trip will turn her life upside down.

A rogue by nature, werewolf Colin MacPherson has to shape up fast when he finds his mate in Mattie.

Just one problem—they both love their countries and don’t want to move. How can they be mates an ocean apart?

This 6,000+ word short story is the first in the Colliding Worlds series. HEA included.

I got this ARC from the author in return for an honest review. It's the kick off of a new series about shifters from another dimension that is on a collision course with Earth. It won't be long until the two worlds collide and the races will have to learn to work together.

This story is very much an introduction to that world and two characters that look to be playing a large part of a bridge between the next 2 books in the series, Her Forbidden Alpha and Her Scottish Alpha. The next books are set up during this one. As both of these characters are wolves and immediately recognize the scent of their mate, life is good. However, it is acknowledged that when the mate is not a wolf doesn't have the same smell sense, problems arise.

The story was very short, just about 25 pages long. It wasn't bad for what it was, an introduction to the world. Would I pay $0.99 for it? Doubtful.  However, the author has assured us that it will be marked as free soon.  If you interested in the author's writing style and seeing if this is a series you might be interested in, I strongly recommend waiting until it is free.  It's not a bad read, just very, very short. I gave it 2 stars.

  1. I just saw a book I want to try and its 99 cents for 33 pages, I passed. Didn't think it was worth it.

    1. I agree. Quite frankly, I got it for free and am feeling a bit gypped.

  2. I'll definitely be waiting on this one, if I decide to check it out at all. I don't typically like stories that short, b/c there's just not a lot you can do in 25 pages. Thanks for the heads-up!

    1. Yeah. I was like insta-mate, okay, this does stay true to the "rules" of this world, now how are they going to handle the getting to know you's and learn to like you's.... and it basically ended. I was like, What the Hell??, I actually flipped my reader over, like I was looking for the rest of it... *sigh* very disappointed.
